I just started re-watching RTA on TV. I remember watching as a kid and forgot how much I loved this show. I am addicted to it again. Of course my favorite episodes are the ones with Gus. I just found your website and think it is great! There is something about Michael Mahonen I find very interesting and would love to learn more about him. I look forward to returning to your website.
I also think a mini series or a new series of Road To Avolea would be great! as long as the most important characters returned!

Hi Shirley,

I love watching my RTA DVD's. too and I wish they would do more. Perhaps a mini-series ( 8 or 10 episodes ) where we could see what has happened to all of our Avonlea favorites over the years.

You can always write to Kevin Sullivan ( see address below) and tell him how you feel.

Hi Stacie,

Thanks for posting your message.

It is coming very, very slowly ... but I am hoping that soon I will be able to start updating this site again.

I have the new program, I am trying to learn how it works and see if the changes will inter grate well with the old program I was using. Otherwise I will have to make each page all over again ... sigh ... that will take a bit of time.

GREETINGS TO EVERYONE!!!

I am very excited to be writing on this guest book! I have been an Avonlea fan for many years... and am proud to say that i watched Avonlea and Anne of Green Gables when they first appeared on cable. I was a very young girl then and didnt understand love at first sight until Gus Pike appeared on Avonlea. I believe that he was my first crush!!! I have been collecting all of Avonlea DVD and excitedly anxious when the last seasons arrive.

Michael Mahonen is a brilliant actor at whom I hope that he is doing well and is blessed in life as he has blessed me with great episodes of Avonlea! My greatest memories as a child has been curled up in a blanket on the couch watching these great series and hope that one day i can share them with my children!

Thank you for your website! and THANK YOU Michael for great memories! I will forever be grateful!

Anne of Green Gables
Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning to Premiere at the Boston Film Festival

The much anticipated prequel to the Anne of Green Gables movies and the fourth installment in the film series, Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning, will be making its North American debut at the Boston Film Festival. On Monday, September 15th 2008, the movie will be featured along with other top international films at the event. The story will focus on many unanswered questions raised by the prior films and give viewers insight into what the years after leaving Green Gables had in store for Anne Shirley.

Now a writer in her fifties, Anne looks back on her early life in an attempt to draw inspiration. Lost beneath the floorboards of Green Gables, secrets are discovered that illuminate the troubled childhood and the heartbreaking sorrow of Anne’s early years.

Remembering her youth, she recalls events that bring her face-to-face with her demons. Although she had faced much cruelty and despair, she managed to find the most unlikely friends along the way including an institutionalized old man, a powerful businesswoman, a hopeless widow, and a man seeking to become a father to her.

Now in its 24th year, the Boston Film Festival runs from September 12th through September 18th. With showings taking place at the Kendall Landmark Theatre, Boston Common as well as venues throughout the city, the festival provides the audience with a chance to view internationally acclaimed films in a history backdrop. This year’s program will include a unique selection of feature films, documentaries and shorts, followed by question and answer sessions after each screening.
